Roses in the Heat
On Thursday, July 21, the Utah Rose Society met at the home of Musharrat Sheikh to admire her wonderful collection of roses and hear a presentation by URS president Elise Hutchings on how to care for roses during the summer. In spite of the intense heat, many roses were still in bloom, including this beautiful specimen of ‘Tiffany’ (pictured). In addition to roses, Ms. Sheikh and her family grow dahlias, flowering perennials, and an extensive variety of vegetables from India.
