Alternative Garden Club Meeting

Local horticulturalist Laura St. Onge will speak to us about daylily hybridizing.  The common or “roadside” daylily was once thought to be sterile, reproducing only by roots and tubers, but advancements in science in the 20th century enabled the creation of new, hybrid flowers.  Come hear the remarkable story behind the huge variety of daylilies that we enjoy today.
