Alternative Garden Club Enjoys Garden Tour

On Saturday, May 30 the Alternative Garden Club met at the garden of Leslie Moss in Millcreek.  Although the day had begun with some much-needed rain, by afternoon the weather was perfect to enjoy this small but beautiful property, with its ancient cherry tree, cedar trees, espaliered fruit trees, and other fine specimen plants.  The Japanese stewartia was not yet in bloom, but the club members admired a wide variety of other unique plants, such as astrantia and tanacetum.  An expert in water garden design was on hand to explain the construction and operation of the new pond, and a delicious potluck teatime was enjoyed by all.
