On June 7, the Park City Garden Club met at the library in Park City to hear from Joe Wilson, a bee expert at Utah State University. Professor Wilson explained that in addition to the well-known honeybee, which came from Europe, there are over 1,100 native bee species in Utah. Most of them live in the ground, not in a hive, most of them do not sting, and all of them are important for pollinating both our native plants and our garden crops. The event was well attended and enjoyed by all.
