Bonsai Club
Bonsai is the ancient Japanese art of growing miniature, healthy trees in ceramic pots or trays. Bonsai is a challenging and rewarding hobby that combines a beautiful art form with a love of nature and of living things. It encourages and rewards patience and an artistic eye, as well as a green thumb. There are many different sizes and styles of bonsai, from a few inches to several feet tall, including both indoor and outdoor species of trees.
The Bonsai Club of Utah provides friendship, education and support for the art and science of bonsai in Utah. The Club meets at the Sugar House Park Garden Center at 7:00 pm on the fourth Wednesday of every month, and it has a public demonstration and show at Red Butte Gardens every spring and fall. Membership is only $24 per year, but guests and prospective members are always welcome. Come learn about this interesting art!
