Wasatch Community Gardens will be holding its Urban Garden & Farm Tour (formerly known as “Tour de Coops”) on Saturday, June 25, from 10 AM to 2 PM. This self-guided tour features various food-producing backyards, urban homesteads, and community gardens in Salt Lake County. The Utah Associated Garden Clubs, Inc. are part of the National Garden Clubs, Inc., sharing its mission to provide education, resources, and networking opportunities for our members, and to promote the love of gardening, floral design, and civic and environmental responsibility. We currently have 12 member clubs in the state of Utah, with over 300 individual members.

Everyone is invited to tour the beautiful gardens of Jerry Yoneda, long-time member of the Utah Rose Society and rose show judge. Jerry has 900 roses of every variety displayed in an immaculately designed and maintained half acre of land in West point, Utah. He also has a vegetable garden and fruit trees. This is an amazing sight to behold. There will be a pot luck dinner before or after the tour.
This week is National Garden Week, and what better way to celebrate than to attend the Utah Rose Society’s Annual Rose Show on Saturday, June 11. It will be held from noon to 4 PM at the Sugar House Garden Center, 1602 E. 2100 S., and is free to the public.
